Nestled among the rugged eastern ridges of the Napa Valley, Melanson Vineyard is one of a handful of exceptional vineyards that share an enchanted slope called Pritchard Hill, which is unquestionably one of the greatest terroirs in the Valley. This area is known for producing big, dense and complex Cabernet Sauvignons and our 2021 Marquess is no exception. It exudes a beautifully complex bouquet of crème de cassis, ripe blue fruits, cacao powder, tobacco and graphite. Hitting the palate it’s powerful, full-bodied, and concentrated with wonderfully integrated acidity, a chalky minerality, polished tannins, flawless balance, and a great finish.

Our Commonwealth Cabernet from the famed David Abreu Las Posadas vineyard is a stunning Howell Mountain wine. Unrestrained, exquisite and playfully beautiful. Dark chocolate, blackberry, lavender, crème de cassis, and cloves present themselves on the palate. Rich, creamy and super-expressive, this Las Posadas wine captures the opulence of Howell Mountain. It is simply magnificent in every way. This wine will gracefully age over the next 20-30 years.

The Las Posadas Vineyard is an iconic Howell Mountain vineyard owned by David Abreu. At 1710 ft elevation, Los Posadas sits above the fog line, surrounded by a protected forest of fir and pine. Red Aiken soils are layered over white tufa, and the rocks that littered the site before it was planted now form walls defining the property.
Our 2021 Silver Eagle Vineyard Pinot Noir has a gorgeous nose of spiced strawberry and black cherry fruits as well as some dried flower, dark tea, and spicy nuances. The palate is fresh and inviting, with black raspberries, rosehip, and sweet baking spice. This carries to a medium to full-bodied, round, seamless Pinot Noir offering a terrific mix of richness and freshness.

Our 2021 Commonwealth Chardonnay is clean, pure, and balanced. A complex bouquet of citrus, honeysuckle, bright white florals, and white tea define the nose. The palate is rich and unctuous – full of creamy lemon curd, white peach, poached pear, and a hint of crushed stone. This wine is medium bodied, has a layered, elegant mouthfeel, vibrant acidity, and a crystal clean finish.
