The Silver Eagle Vineyard, owned and farmed by the family of famed vineyard manager Ulises Valdez, rests atop the rolling hills that divides the remote Sonoma Coast from the Russian River Valley. Situated north of Occidental in the Green Valley viticulture area at the western edge of Sonoma County, it is exposed to both the cooling ocean breezes of the nearby Pacific and the warmth of the Russian River valley. Wine made from this unique confluence of climates is extraordinary. Our Flint Knoll Pinot Noir is no exception. It has a dense ruby color with a nose of sweet strawberries, lavender, black cherry liqueur, mushrooms and forest floor. Dark, full-bodied, rich, concentrated and opulent; It is supple and dramatic with depth and a long finish. At Flint Knoll, we concentrate on making wines of intensity that do not forget their elegant Burgundian roots.
